To make it easier to plan courses on the same map, but with different scales and graphics
I would like to suggest one enhancement, if I may. It is related to graphics for courses.
Currently, objects like printing area and descriptions are associated with each course.
Other objects, such as white-out areas, images, lines, and texts are associated with an event. This creates a problem when the same map is used for events that have different map scales and paper sizes. In these cases, the graphic’s layout is different for each map scale.
I have an event to prepare that uses one map for two races. I would like to use one master map with all controls for both races, to avoid mistakes. In addition, the first event (Middle) has two scales, and the second event (Long) has three scales. It means that I have to arrange graphics for five different layouts. As the graphic objects are associated with the event, for each case I have to move all objects (about 10 of them), and also change their sizes, to fit the printing area. As the courses designs is in progress, it is very time consuming to move everything every time I want to see the final layouts, and the locations of graphics is not consistent.
Instead of associating object with courses, it is also possible to create another category, a “layout”, that would include several courses with the same printing area and scale. But I think that the first idea is probably easier to implement, as you already have the structure in place. Just re-assign the association of objects from event to courses.
Thank you very much.

@ Peter - no no no, this is not what Dmitri meant. Here is the use case from this week event, which I'm organizing. I'm having following scales: 1:7500 (VS 8, 10, 12, seniors) and 1:10000 (Man, Woman 14, 16, 20, 21E, etc). you get the idea - small kidos and seniors need to have bigger scale, since its hard for them to read the map in smaller scale. Now, currently I need to create a LAYOUT separately for these scales, and this is a pain. It takes a lot of energy and time and is very inefficient.
Best would be, if I create 1 (one) layout, where I put all the design, all the logos, competition description ect and all checkpoints - and then I can only choose - which scale I want to print it, and Purplen would do the resizing when generating PDFs.

Objects such as white-out areas, images, lines, and texts already can be associated with only some courses. Select the object by clicking on it, then select "Change Displayed Courses..." from the Item menu. Then you can change which courses are particular item is displayed on.
