When using a marked/taped route to the Finish, the words 'Navigate to Finish' appear in English versions of the control descriptions.
There appears to be a bug, because in English versions of the control descriptions the wording should be 'Follow tapes _m to the Finish'. Instead the words 'Navigate _m to the Finish' appear.

add the option to export as OCAD course setting project
Currently the OCAD export produses a normal OCAD map file for each course, which means that the cource setting task has to be finalised before the OCAD export.
The possibility of exporting a OCAD course setting project would make it possible to transfer the course setting task to another person that for whatever reason is not able to work in Purple Pen or (god forbid ;-)) strongly prefer to work in OCAD. It would also be possible to export to OCAD and do whatever task that is currently unsupported in the current Purple Pen version, and retain the course information…

Rectangle with white padding
The rectangle is nice for making borders on maps. Would be great if it had a white padding option, so we don't need to use the white masking tool. Padding should extend to infinity outside the border.

A way to choose font and size for the text descriptions (they are small know compared to the symbols). For instence "Arial narrow" is a larger tfont size would be more readable and still not require more width.

Allow the "Set print area" to work on a number of courses at the same time.
At the moment the choice is all to make them all the same or to set the area individually. I have resorted to manually editing the .ppen file to make a number of them the same.

Show lengths of course variations in Course Summary report
A small suggestion to improve the Course Summary report: I have created a relay course with two forks and three member teams, giving nine variations. I need the variations to be approximately the same length with a spread of no more than two hundred metres between the shortest and longest. When I look at the Course Summary report it only shows me the length range for the entire course but doesn’t show me the length of each variation. If the range looks too large I have to go through each course one-by-one and note the course lengths from the control…

Bug: change control code
Make a course. Click a control code in the definition. Double click. Write new number. Click enter. The number does not change.
To change number you are not allowed to have single clicked the number before you double click. You must have another row yellow, then double click another line to make the cahnge of control code cahnge.

Add possibility to draw circles like rectangle. Usefull for Training.
Function to draw rectangle and line is available. Extra circle would be also usefull. For Training, when you want to group set of symbols in score course.

Make it possible to add a marked route as part of the course.
Most commonly used from last control to finish, but also commonly used mid-course in relation to spectator passages, map exchange or crossing forbidden areas. Should also be allowed from start point to start triangle.

Solve bug: comma in secondary title causes multiple ClassShortName items in XML-file
As secondary title for a course I used "4,5 km moeilijk"
when I produced the XML-file this comes out as:<ClassShortName>4</ClassShortName>
<ClassShortName>5 km moeilijk</ClassShortName>I do not know where this shortname is being used. But it looks like a bug

Support file versioning
The purpose of this feature is to aid communication between the planner/controller and help ensure that the maps printed by a printer and the control descriptions are consistent.
A file version field will be defined.
It should be possible to include this on the maps as special text item and configure for it to be include don the control descriptions.When saving the file if it has changed and a version number field is displayed a prompt should be offered to remind the user they may wish to update the version number.

allow some settings to be retained between sessions
Users may find that they need to change one or more settings each time they use the program. Having a way to make these the new default settings would avoid this.

Allow controls without code
When we are arranging trainings we usually don't have punching units and control codes on every control. But PurplePen forces us to have that and that is a little annoying, specially for the youngsters. It would be a good idea to be able to ommit or hide the control codes in the control description.

Export function for course data to Etiming
We are using the Emit system and Etiming software for result service. It is possible to import cource data from ocad. (version 8 text format in ocad)
The file from ocad is in this format:

With this function it will be possible set up the cources in the Etiming software by just importing this file, and also reduce the risk of writing errors.
