Allow all controls to be moved
When map files are updated and used for a prior version of a PP course, the controls are often shifted some amount. It would be very helpful to have a way to move all the controls (or the map file) to realign them. Several questions on the yahoo forum have mentioned this useful suggestion.

I have written a utility which migrates a PPEN file from one base map to another. This could be used when (e.g.) the base map has been rotated to reflect a change in magnetic variation, or different parts of a course are on different scale maps. The utility is at www.dorien.co.uk/PurplePenConverter

The problem is I guess, that PP uses the corners of the area that has map on it instead of the coordinates. That means if you expand or cut the map, the controls will end up wrong.
The solution must be to use another way of define where PP puts its coordinate system on the map

one of our LEI club members wrote a program to do this. Based on choosing three outlying controls, so it could cope with rotating and shift in any direction.
