Provide a more obvious link to the launchpad site from the home/contribute page
Provide a link to https://launchpad.net/purple-pen from http://purplepen.golde.org/contribute.htm
It seems like there is no link anywhere from http://purplepen.golde.org the only way I found the launchpad site was through the translation instructions.

It seems that the PDFs output via File>Output PDFs is not georeferenced. It would be great for tracking to have GeoRef PDFs.

Print multiple course pa in one page
For training, it's sometimes good to create several smaller courses to be printed in the same page.
I hope my description isn't to hard to understand.
But for example if doing orienteering intervals with a common start point for all intervals. Printing all intervals in one map can show up as quite messy. If dividing the map inte several smaller maps each one containing one interval makes it easier.
If printing on one A4 page and having 6 intervals, then each interval could for example be a round map with diameter 8 cm. Control definition needs to be provided for…10 votes -
Print all courses on one map
A feature that should be very useful when planning big events is to print all courses on one map. We need to show land owner an authorities which belts that will be used so they, for example, kan see if the load on the nature is ok. All courses on one map wold give a good overview.

watch for changes to background maps of maps
When the background map changes in PurplePen, a prompt appears asking if the map should be reloaded.
Often the map is made up of two OCAD files, one containing the map and the other containing the format (border, northlines, title, etc.).
The formatting OCAD file uses the raw-map OCAD file as a background map.
If the raw-map OCAD files is changed, PurplePen doesn't prompt for the map to be reloaded.
The background maps of OCAD maps should be watched for changes

Flagged course
At least in Czech Republic we have flagged course for the youngest. These courses are flagged along whole course, it would be nice to be able to do this in Purple Pen. Currently, I can do it by making separate project and use bend tool to mark the flagged path.

allow control descriptions to be split into one or more floating parts that can be moved to different parts of the map.
An earlier request was "Splitting of control descriptons". A useful feature was subsequently added to enable the list to be dragged wider to create multiple columns. However, these are placed side by side and it it is not always possible to fit the shorter but wider block on the map without obscuring courses or other detail. The descriptions can be split using OCAD but a native solution would avoid this work-around.

Allow multi-sections courses
It would be great if possible to create several sections in one course : for example, runners have to check controls as they want in a first section and in order for an other section.

Switch current course view by keyboard
Would be great to be able to swtich back and forth down the list of course tabs by keypress. Like CTRL-TAB and CTRL-SHIFT-TAB in Chrome. Although I would prefer CTRL-SHIFT-{ and CTRL-SHIFT-}

Allow defining a smaller size for control code when map contains both order number and control code
Currently it is nice that you can place the control code next to the order number. It would be nice (to save some space) to be able to control the size of the control code separately. Normally I'd like it to be bit smaller than the order number.

Event audit to include nearby controls with "control codes that could be easily confused"
British Orienteering rules say "control codes that could be easily confused are not to be used on control sites that are close to each other". It would be very useful if the Event Audit report could include controls within 200m where the codes are similar. My suggestion would be that similar would be same except one digit where those digits are 1 and 7 or two of 0,6 8.

Add option to add PNG/SVG overlay to map
For our events, we have common styling for maps. For now, we solve this by creating a pdf of the map.
But if we decide to use a different region at a later stage, we have to create new map file.
It would be great if we could add some Png/svg overlay, that can be reused between events to keep the maps in the same style and make the process of map creation simpler5 votes -

Allow ignoring of some courses from the event audit
I often create courses for control putting out or collecting. An option to remove them from event audit or cross referencing. They'll need to be identified in the course tab titles in italics or with an asterisk etc.

bug - when used without background map, course view keeps shifting off-screen
I can't use an existing Finish on a course file where I wasn't given the map. Everytime I click on anything on the course image the view first shifts everything off the screen

make follow "Follow tapes to finish" the default
Competitors should virtually never be expected to navigate to the finish and it should be strongly discouraged. There is no option for the finish to have a description. I think that at the moment, many planners just leave the default (navigate to finish) without thinking about it.
